Who The Feck are FOIL ARMS & HOG? How did the stars of WTF is BREXIT? get their name?
This comedy trio comprises of one Conor and two Seans who all grew up near each other in southside Dublin but only met up when they all joined the drama society at University College Dublin. They graduated 8 years ago with degrees in Genetics, Engineering and Architecture between them but during the recession writing and performing comedy was a far more attractive option than unemployment or emigration. 4 years ago the trio focused on self producing comedy sketches – writing, filming and editing them as well – on their own You Tube channel to boost their live show ticket sales. That bond and friendship plus the hard graft is paying off.
And with the global success of their sketch WTF is Brexit? they have a lot of touring to do all around the world.
But how did name FA&H come about? What does it mean? Backstage at the Project Arts Centre – during the recording of RTE Radio 1’s Comedy Showhouse – grintage sat down with all 3 members and asked them to explain the name.
Remember – you can catch Ireland’s brightest comedy stars at the Edinburgh International Fringe Festival from August 4th to the 28th at the Underbelly, Cowgate (Venue 61) at 21.50pm every night.
Such is the demand for tickets that late night shows have been added every Friday and Saturday night @ 23.15pm.
