YES, IT’S TARA FLYNN!
YES, maybe you thought she was going on Holiday after the year she’s had?
Well, we hope so, but NOT before she plays at The Cat Laughs this bank holiday weekend!
She came to international attention for her satirical videos, ‘Racist B&B’ ( which earned her the title Satirist of the Year 2013 at the Swift Satire Festival), and ‘Armagayddon’ – co-written with Kevin McGahern.
She has written two satirical books – ‘You’re Grand: the Irishwoman’s Secret Guide to Life’ and ‘Giving Out Yards: the Art of Complaint, Irish Style’ (Hachette Books Ireland).
Tara has worked extensively in Ireland and the UK as an actress in theatre, radio and TV.
Her TV work includes roles in ‘Irish Pictorial Weekly’, ‘Line of Duty’, ‘Moone Boy’, ‘Doctors’, ‘Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle’ and’ Hide & Seek’ (directed by Dearbhla Walsh). Tara was also part of the recurring cast on ‘Thank God You’re Here UK’.
She’s performing on Saturday at 18:00 in the Set Theatre along with Beth Stelling, Bernard O’Shea and Abandoman
Saturday 2 June / 18:00 / Langtons Set Theatre
Comedian, writer and columnist, Maeve Higgins has taken her charm offensive international.
A sparkling stand-up, Maeve has been grabbing attention across the pond ever since moving to New York and launching her breakout podcast ‘Maeve in America’. Lately, seemingly unsated by the prospect of world domination, Maeve has set her focus to the skies as the co-host of Neil deGrasse Tyson’s ‘StarTalk’ on National Geographic.
“Maeve Higgins is hilarious. She is the true Irish voice of our American generation” Amy Schumer
An acclaimed writer, Maeve’s first book for Penguin, also titled ‘Maeve in America’, will be released later in the year. At once smart, curious, and humane, ‘Maeve in America’ is the story of how Maeve found herself, literally and figuratively, in New York City. Like everything Maeve turns her hand to, ‘Maeve In America’ fizzes with the irresistible charm, curiosity and unique wit she’ll bring to Cat Laughs

YES, IT’S LAUREN PATTISON!
One of the most striking emerging talents on the comedy scene, Lauren Pattison is a fresh, fierce and uncompromising voice who is beginning to make her presence known across the country.
A finalist in the prestigious BBC New Comedy Award 2016, Lauren went on to have a storming year which saw her nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe with her critically acclaimed show ‘Lady Muck’.
Spunky, forthright and absolutely filthy – Lauren is on the cusp of announcing herself as the next big thing. This is your chance to catch the bawdy and brilliant Ms Pattison up close and personal.
YES, it’s her Cat Laughs debut
We saw Lauren’s show in Edinburgh last year and we knew we just HAD to get her to Kilkenny. One of the stand-out stand-up comics we saw this year. Then our very good taste was vindicated when she was nominated for the BEST NEWCOMER AWARD at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe.
