July 12th is traditionally the day the Protestant community in Northern Ireland celebrate The Battle of The Boyne – when the ‘orange’ King (Billy) William defeated the Catholic army of the English James 11 at the river Boyne an hours drive (four on a horse) north of Dublin and south of Belfast in 1690.
