Brendan O’Carroll has found a way to keep Mrs Brown exactly as he likes her.
The most popular show on British TV is written and performed by award winning Irish comedian Brendan O’Carroll and his family troupe of actors.
Mrs Browns boys first appeared on our screens in 2011 and it has grown in success ever since.
With all this success people always want their say on how they think the show should be. To solve any of this Brendan O’Carroll has threatened to KILL Mrs Brown if he doesn’t get his own way.
He said he would end it with ‘heartbreaking; scenes if BBC ever pulled the plug on the show.
Even with all the success of the show plus live shows on tour the irish comedian said the future is uncertain.
He the Daily Star : “We are booked to do Christmas specials for the BBC until 2020 but if they go, ‘We are going to drop you as we don’t think it’s strong enough’ then I’d kill Agnes off.
“Our final episode would be the funniest show I’ve ever written for the first 24 minutes.
“Then the last four minutes would break your f*****g heart.”.
Speaking previously about the popularity of the show, he said: “After the downturn in the economy, Brexit and that f*****g clown in America, people have been getting scared and when they get scared they get nostalgic and want to look at when things were better.
“Along comes Mrs Brown – this woman from the 1970s who has this mindset that a clip on the ear doesn’t do any harm and that nostalgia makes people feel a bit more comfortable. The audience says, ‘This doesn’t threaten me. It just makes me laugh’.
“And we give them an hour of relief on a Saturday night. Laughter really is the best medicine.”
O’Carroll will also be presenting quiz for For Facts Sake for BBC One.
He said: “I’m really excited to be doing a show where I don’t have to wear a bra!
“When we did the pilot it was great fun. If we can capture that on the screen we are all in for a good time.”
