Ingrid Michaelson is bringing her life to the small screen.
Ingrid Michaelson is the woman behind some well known hits such as Be Ok, The Way I Am and Girls Chase Boys (see above). Now the singer-songwriter is going to star in a comedy about her life.
She will be teaming up with showrunner of Casual, Liz Tigelaar who penned the script. It will be a half-hour single-camera comedy, titled The Way I Am after one of her hit songs.
The pair created the comedy together, with Tigelaar set to write the script. Both will executive produce alongside Lynn Grossman. The show will air on Hulu. This will not be the first time Tigelaar has worked with them as her comedy-drama Casual is also available on the service.
Michaelson is known for her funny side during her concerts, where she shows of her wit between songs. She showed an interest in music as a very young age, learning piano at the age of 4. She studied theatre, took part in acapella groups and was a member of Pappy Parker Players, an improv comedy group. With all these interest Ingrid was most successful in he music when she launched her first album in 2005. Since then she was released many hit songs, a lot of which have been features on Grey’s Anatomy.
