It has been described as an even funnier version of ‘The Devil Wears Prada’.
The Sundance festival began last Thursday and Mindy Kaling‘s new movie has been a huge success. The movie ‘Late Night’ was the first major sale at the festival scoring a $13 million Amazon deal. Written by Kaling it is a new female-driven comedy, which co-stars herself and the hilarious Emma Thompson.

Kaling’s trademark wit has stayed intact, with her apparently saying “I have spent a fortune on Amazon, so its nice to see them reciprocate.”
“So much of this movie is about being a fan and being on the outside of the entertainment business,” Kaling told Variety. “That story has been told many, many, many times by 52-year-old white men, and I love all those movies. And as a comedy nerd I’ve always identified with them because it was the closest thing that I could identify with. There was no one like me making those kind of films.”
Mindy Kaling talks about working with Emma Thompson on her film Late Night and visiting the Late Night with Seth Meyers writers room for research.
“Late Night” co-stars John Lithgow, Amy Ryan, and Ike Barinholtz.
It is expected to be released later this year.

It is about a late-night talk show host suspects that she may soon be losing her long-running show.
One viewer claimed it was a funnier version of The Devil Wear Prada.
LATE NIGHT is a better, funnier, more complicated THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA that still goes down as easily as THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA https://t.co/jBrHfxgW5R
