Described in the UK Daily Telegraph as “the funniest man you’ve never heard of”, Henry Normal is an award winning comedian, TV producer, poet and writer.
He set up the UK’s most successful comedy broadcast producer Baby Cow with actor Steve Coogan (both 2nd generation Irish born in and around Manchester) and as a stand up toured with Pulp plus appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe in the heady 1980s. He starred in the TV series Packet of Three, and co-write the classic sitcom The Royle Family and later The Parole Officer. He’s done it all. And loads of Irish comedy actors & location crews have a lot to thank him for as he Exec’ed Moone Boy filmed in Ireland for Baby Cow/Grand Pictures and SKY.
Last year he announced his ‘retirement’ from Baby Cow and stood down at the end of 2016. We here in grintage bow to a true legend – and a lovely guy to boot.
