September 24th – ‘Oh My God, What A Complete Aisling’
As their hilarious new novel ‘Oh My God, What A Complete Aisling’ hits the shelves, join authors Emer McLysaght and Sarah Breen and some other ‘country girls’ for a chat about Irish women and the story behind the creation of ‘Aisling’ on their popular Facebook page. Who exactly is an Aisling?
A uniquely Irish girl in her late twenties, an Aisling often lives at home somewhere down the country with her parents, commuting to her mid-level, pensionable administrative job in Dublin.
Sensible and reliable, she’s the only one who knows how to work the office fax machine and always has paracetamol for her co-workers (but nothing stronger, codeine is fierce addictive). Whether you are an Aisling yourself or are friends with a few of them, this is a conversation you won’t want to miss.
Tuesday, 26th September there’s This Feels Terrible at The Workman’s Club.
Comedian Erin McGathy (Community, Drunk History, Harmonquest) presents her This Feels Terrible comedy podcast about relationships LIVE. Each episode features storytelling revolving around love-gone-wrong, an on-stage interview with a fellow comedian and “Terrible Advice” where Erin and her guest answer the audience’s relationship questions. Longtime fans and newbies alike will be sure to get their heart related humor fix – and a whole lot of laughs to boot
