Alan Carr is opening his own social club in a new four-part entertainment series for Channel 4 – and that’s a long way from working in Tesco!
The Chatty Man star is to front Alan Carr’s Happy Hour (w/t), which is being made by Hungry Bear Media, the indie established by former Talkback boss Dan Baldwin with Michael McIntyre as the first step of creating a wider production group.
The 4 x 60-minute series will see stars from film, TV and the music industry join Carr in his own social club, where he will organise games, sketches and stunts.
It was ordered by C4’s head of comedy entertainment Ben Caudell, who joined the broadcaster in May 2015.
Watch Alan Carr making his Irish TV debut on RTE Two’s The Liffey Laugh talking about working in Tesco during IRA bomb warnings.
