TV News – NBC AMERICA SAYS YES TO ‘PULLING’

NBC America is developing a US remake of a UK comedy that first aired on BBC3 – with the show’s original creators also on board.

The original series of Pulling was first produced by UK-based Silver River Productions and was co-written by Irish Emmy Award winning writer / actress Sharon Horgan along with Denis Kelly, debuting on the UK pubcaster’s channel in 2006.

Horgan and Kelly are attached as exec producers on the US reboot, which is being produced by Horgan’s prodco Merman Films with Kapital Entertainment and 20th Television. The US show is being written by Wendy and Lizzie Molyneux.

The original series, which ran for three years, followed the lives of three single women living in London and had previously been developed in the US by ABC. Watch the above clip as ‘being single’ is discussed over a few drinks.  NB  adult content.
