The Biggest Ever Irish Comedy Event This Paddy’s Day

Have a laugh in aid of a great cause this St. Patrick’s Day.

One of our favourite comedians Deirdre O’Kane and TV producer Darren Smith have organised one of the best comedy gigs we have seen in a long time. We announced this a while back and had an idea of who may be making an appearance but they have finally confirmed it!

Paddy’s Night in Support of Comic Relief is the first Irish event of this kind and will take place in the 3Arena. The line up is absolutely brilliant, featuring the best of Irish comedy. Play a mental drum roll in your head before reading this because this line up deserves it.

To begin with we have kings of Irish comedy: Tommy Tiernan, Dara O’Briain, Ardal O’Hanlon and Jason Byrne. We would of been happy just with that but we are being spoiled. Abandoman, Des Bishop, Bernard O’Shea and Ed Byrne will be hanging around. Not Enough? Along with the woman herself Deirdre O’Kane of course there will also be David O’Doherty, Panti Bliss, Alison Spittle,PJ Gallagher and Al Porter.

Just Wow!

The money raised from the event will go towards a variety of Irish and International causes.

Deirdre O’Kane stated: “Like everyone else, I was moved by the heart breaking images of people living incredibly tough lives around the world and at home, and so I decided I wanted to do something fun and useful that would raise a proper chunk of money.

“So I picked up my broken phone and asked my talented, funny friends to help. I was extremely happy when they all generously said ‘yes, sign me up’.

“Darren and I then approached 3Mobile/3Arena, 2FM and Comic Relief who were very happy to collaborate with us.

“So we have a killer line up, an incredible venue, a national holiday, a national radio station and a legendary charity partner. Now all we need is for the great Irish public to treat themselves to a brilliant night out!!”

All profits from the ticket sales will be donated to Comic Relief UK, who will distribute the funds via Irish charities in line with their vision of a just world, free from poverty. The funds will be split between domestic and international projects that help people living incredibly tough lives in Ireland and around the world.

Paddy’s Night in Support of Comic Relief tickets go on sale from www.ticketmaster.ie from 9am on Friday 10th February, priced at €39.00 and €45.00 per ticket, plus booking fees.
