It has just been announced that the Love Actually crew will be doing a sequel.
It won’t be the full thing but the original cast are on board to make a short film. This will be in aid of Comic Relief and is set to be called Red Nose Day Actually.
Rumour has it that Hugh Grant, Martine McCutcheon, Keira Knightley, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth and Andrew Lincoln have all signed up to take part. Joining them will be Lucia Moniz, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Olivia Olson, Bill Nighy, Marcus Brigstocke, and Rowan Atkinson.
The original movie was released back in 2003 and this sequel will be catching up on their characters 14 years later.
Speaking about the news, the film’s director, Richard Curtis, said:
“We’ve been delighted and grateful that so many of the cast are around and able to take part – and it’ll certainly be a nostalgic moment getting back together and recreating their characters 14 years later.
“We hope to make something that’ll be fun – very much in the spirit of the original film and of Red Nose Day – and which we hope will help bring lots of viewers and cash to the Red Nose Day shows”.
