Highest-grossing film in Ireland of 2016

The Irish love to have a laugh and 2016 highest-grossing film at the Irish box office was a comedy.

2016 brought us some brilliant films including Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Finding Dory, The Secret Life Of Pets, The Jungle Book and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Even after all them impressive titles it was romantic comedy Bridget Jones’s Baby that won the title of highest grossing film. The film, starring Renee Zellweger and Colin Firth earned a huge €4.1m putting way ahead of Finding Dory by over €600,000 which was the second most popular.
