Comedian To Judge Irelands Got Talent

Ireland’s Got Talent is coming to… Ireland and the judges have just been announced. 

Louis Walsh will be a judge of course and he will be joined by three others. These include  British presenter Denise Van Outen, US singer Michelle Visage and Irish comedian Jason Byrne. Lucy Kennedy will be hosting the show. Auditions for the show are set to begin soon.



Like a lot of Irish comedians, his career kicked off after he made an appearance on Father Ted.  He played the referee in the ‘Escape from Victory’ episode from the third season of the Irish comedy. The Dublin man was runner up  ‘So You Think You’re Funny?’ awards at the Edinburgh festival in 1996 and went on to receive Perrier nominations in 1998 and 2001.

The funnyman has hosted and appeared on various radio shows such as a BBC Radio 2 show where hewon a Sony Gold Award for Best Comedy in 2011. He also worked on a comedy panel show called The Byrne Ultimatum on RTÉ Two.
