Bill Murray Covers Van Morrison In His First-Ever Classical Music Concert

If you’re a fan of Bill Murray then you know he has a big love for music and presented us some of his unique song stylings.

He played the role of  Nick the Lounge Singer in “Saturday Night Live” and back in 2015 he released his Netflix special “A Very Murray Christmas”.  Watch his first ever performance as Nick on SNL below.

Bill Murray shocked the public when we announced he was going to release a classical music album this Autumn. Titled “New Worlds”, the album will be a collaboration between the “Caddyshack” star and cellist Jan Vogler.

On the album he is accompanied  by violinist Mira Wang (who hails from China) and pianist Vanessa Perez (based in Venezuela). He discusses the challenges of collaborating when partners who live in different parts of the world.

“We are from four different continents,” Murray said. “And when the continents come together, the music moves right across the peninsulas from one to the other. It’s just a short journey from one continent to the other.”

Murray debuted his project on stage at the Dresden Music Festival in Germany. This marked the first time he ever to debut the project, the first time Murray has ever performed at a bona fide music concert.

Among the songs he performed at the Dresden show was a cover version of Van Morrison’s “When Will I Ever Learn To Live In God?”

Check out a sneak peek of his performances below.
