TOMMY TIERNAN IN CONVERSATION WITH RODDY DOYLE
Roddy Doyle and Tommy Tiernan are both Irish heroes in their own way and now they are joining forces for an evening of entertainment all for charity.
The evening is a celebration of Doyle’s work and will ‘explore his use of satire and comedy to champion outsider voices in Ireland.’
UNESCO City of Literature presents an evening exploring the powerful and transformative use of comedy and satire. Comedian Tommy Tiernan joins Roddy Doyle in an extra special conversation about Doyle’s work as a writer championing outsider voices. A portion of the proceeds from the evening will go to Fighting Words, which promotes Swift’s literary legacy. It encourages creative writing to disadvantaged Irish children and teenagers.
The event will take place in St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Thursday 29th November.
