Comedy Central Stand-Up Presents is Comedy Central’s show dedicated to stand up comedians.
It gives comedians half hour stand up specials. These half-hour specials showcased some of the best up-and-coming comedians of the moment. The show has been a pivotal stepping stone for many of today’s stand-up stars, including Louis C.K., Dave Chappelle, Patton Oswalt, Amy Schumer, Jim Gaffigan, Kevin Hart, Zach Galifianakis, Dane Cook, Bill Burr, Wanda Sykes and Maria Bamford.
Comedy Central has just announced its 2018 lineup. The new round will tape in New Orleans at the Civic Theatre on December 8th and 9th and air in early 2018.
Megan Gailey has performed on Conan, @midnight with Chris Hardwick and Adam Devine’s House Party. Megan was part of the 2015 New Faces showcase at the Just For Laughs festival and was a featured performer at SXSW, and Bridgetown Comedy Festival. She was a writer for the 2017 ESPYS and has been featured in Chicago Magazine and Marie Claire magazine for her comedic risk taking and amazing dresses. She has finally performed alongside enough famous people that her older brothers no longer hate her.
Devin Field is originally from Seattle and started doing stand-up at his high school’s open mic nights, against everyone’s wishes. He is currently a writer for Jimmy Kimmel Live!, with previous writing credits including Workaholics and Billy On The Street. His stand-up has been featured on Adam Devine’s House Party, and performs regularly at the UCB Theatre in Los Angeles.
Chris Garcia: Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, Chris Garcia started his comedy career in the San Francisco Bay Area where he was named “A Comic To Watch” by the San Jose Mercury News, “One of the 7 Funniest People in San Francisco” by 7×7 Magazine, and a “Rising Comedic Star” by the SF Weekly.
Chris moved back to Los Angeles in the summer of 2012. Since then, he has appeared on Comedy Central’s @Midnight and Adam Devine’s House Party, NBC’s Last Call with Carson Daly, NPR’s This American Life and The WTF Podcast with Marc Maron. Most recently, Chris was a New Face at the 2016 Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, where he was bestowed the honor of “Best of the Fest.”
Langston Kerman is a comedian, writer, actor and failed NBA ball-boy. He has appeared on Adam Devine’s House Party on Comedy Central, and was also a part of Chris Rock’s writing staff for the 2016 Acadamy Awards, as well as the new Comedy Central show Problematic with Moshe Kasher. Most recently, Langston was seen recurring on the HBO seriesInsecure from Issa Rae. None of this matters. He just wants another shot at being a ball-boy.
Tim Dillon is a NY-based comic who was a breakout at the 2016 Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in the ‘New Faces’ category. Recently he won the title of ‘NY’s Funniest’ at the New York Comedy Festival where he also headlined three sellout shows on a double decker tour bus throughout Manhattan’s wealthiest neighborhoods. Tim has performed on the Oddball Comedy and Oddity Tour, and was featured on NBC’s ‘Last Comic Standing’, ‘The Chris Gethard Show’ on Fusion, Fox’s Red Eye, AXS TV’s Gotham Comedy Live, Comedy Knockout for ‘TruTV’, and season 2 of ‘WYFD’ with Big Jay Oakerson for Seeso. He is also the host of his own podcast ‘Tim Dillon is Going to Hell.’ Tim was named one of the “Ten Comics You Need To Know” by Rolling Stone Magazine.
Mike Lawrence is an Emmy nominated New York City based comedian from South Florida who has found success in both writing and stand up. He is the winner of the first season of Jeff Ross Presents Roast Battle.
He was a staff writer on season four of Inside Amy Schumer, Comedy Central’s Roast of Rob Lowe, Black and White on A&E, Triumph’s Election Special on Hulu and was a writer on the 2015 MTV Movie Awards, the 2015 Webby Awards, and We Have Issues on E!
Ryan O’Flanagan is a Los Angeles-based comedian, actor, and writer. He has appeared on Netflix’s “American Vandal,” as well as “New Girl,” “Adam Devine’s House Party,” “Last Call with Carson Daly,” and voiced for “American Dad!” His sketch group, Dead Kevin, has been featured on Tosh.0, Comedy Central Digital, and was an LA Weekly Top Comedy Act to Watch in 2013.
