Paul Currie: Cats In My Mouth In Galway

There is something so different about Paul Currie that the word ‘original’ doesn’t even come close.

Paul is no stranger to Galway, having played both the Vodafone Comedy Carnival and the Róisín Dubh Comedy Clubh, and the good news is the Belfast man is back this October with more puppetry, mime, prop gags, and insanely intense audience participation.

This is a brand-new show from this hairy idiot man-child, so strap in for more fun and nonsense as the entire audience is taken by the hand into a true circus of silly. Voted Best New Show, Leicester Comedy Festival.

Currie is unique and utterly original. A new standard has been set for the Fringe ***** – Skinny

Here’s a clip of the man in action at the Dublin Fringe festival a couple of years ago.

Paul performs absurdist, high-energy comedy with confidence and gusto. He inhabits a bizarre, unique and delicate world. A whirlwind of dizzying nonsense, he has been described as “if Tim Burton created Mr. Bean”. Although not a fan of conventional jokes, he will bring you on a hilarious journey through his delightfully strange mind. Paul is unlike any other comedian you have ever seen. You won’t even know why, but you will leave the show with your face and sides aching from laughter.

There was something extra original about this guy, it was like watching the Monty Python version of stand-up comedy – FringeGuru.com
