Don Rickles’ final project, “Dinner With Don”

Don Rickles passed away last April and he’s been sadly missed.

There is a new show out however that has let us really appreciate the comedy genius.  Last year Don Rickles recorded the series Dinner With Don with AARP. The show involves Don sitting down and chatting with some of the funniest people on TV today including Paul Rudd, Judd Apatow, Billy Crystal, Sarah Silverman, Vince Vaughn, and Zach Galifianakis. He added a few greats that aren’t associated with comedy too such as Snoop Dogg, Robert Di Niro, and Martin Scorsese. Get a glimpse with this episode with Jimmy Kimmel below.

The best career advice Jimmy Kimmel ever got was from Don Rickles. The two longtime friends talk about what Jimmy initially wanted to be when he grew up, the secrets to life, and how Don got the nickname “Mr. Warmth” from Johnny Carson. “Dinner with Don” is a legacy series celebrating Don Rickles’ life and career.

Remember that time Amy Poehler met Don Rickles at Jimmy Kimmel’s house? Don doesn’t either. In this episode of “Dinner with Don,” the two comedians talk about Rickles’ military service in the Philippines, Amy’s start at Second City in Chicago and the challenge of teasing people today. “Dinner with Don” is a legacy series celebrating Don Rickles’ life and career.

Time to set aside some time for a binge and watch a master at work.
