Michelle Williams joins Amy Schumer’s for new comedy I Feel Pretty.
Michelle Williams isn’t usually known for her funny roles but maybe teaming up with one of the funniest women out there will help her out. She has been nominated four times for an Oscar in a dramatic role, surely that means she can act funny too?
The duo will be starring alongside each other in Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein‘s new comedy.
Williams will play the role of Avery LeClaire, a cosmetics company boss, who starts to take more notice of her employee Renee Bennett (Schumer). Renee suffers from a knock on the head and since then she believes a spell has made her beautiful but really she hasn’t been changed a bit. Her new self confidence has helped her career soar.
Production begins in July in Boston, and marks Kohn and Silverstein’s directing debut. These two are also responsible for How to Be Single and He’s Just Not That Into You.
Schumer is currently working on comedy drama She Came to Me, opposite Nicole Kidman and Steve Carell, and drama Thank You for Your Service, which hits cinemas in October.
Meanwhile, Williams is busy with The Greatest Showman, All the Money in the World and Janis Joplin biopic Janis, where she stars as the late musician.
