Irish Girl Tells Brilliant Red Chair Story

What an awkward geography lesson.

On the Graham Norton Show last weekend Orla decided to tell a story. Orla is an Irish primary school teacher and was giving her class a geography lesson a few years ago.

“A few years ago I was teaching in a class and we had the globes out and the children were discovering all the new countries they had never seen before. A little boy points at a country and says ‘what country is this?’ and I said ‘oh, that Papua New Guinea. Does anyone know why Papua New Guinea is really famous? Nobody knew so I said ‘well they still eat humans there, it’s really strange. Does anyone know what that is? When another human eats another human?’”
