Eddie Murphy been talking lately about seriously considering going back to stand up.
Eddie Murphy is a comedian, actor, writer, singer, and producer. He has been nominated for a Golden Globe for his performances in his performances in 48 Hrs, The Beverly Hills Cop series, Trading Places, and The Nutty Professor. You may also recognise his voice as Donkey in Shrek and the Chinese dragon Mushu in Disney’s Mulan.
Last October he accepted the 2015 Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. During this acceptance speech he took the opportunity to impersonate Bill Crosby, making it his first live stand up in 28 years. He had refused to do this impersonation for the SNL 40th anniversary but since Crosby had received the same award he took it as fair game.
Eddie featured on Jimmy Kimmel Live last week. When asked whether he would consider making a return to stand up comedy Eddie answered “I might – I haven’t done it in so long and I’m curious now – so much has changed – to what would even come out,” comedian tells Jimmy Kimmel
Its is rumoured that Murphy could be a contender for a Best Actor gong at this year’s Oscars for his performance in upcoming drama Mr. Church. Eddie reveals why he decided to try stand-up comedy at fifteen years old.
