RTE Radio 1’s COMEDY SHOWHOUSE HOUR AUGUST 27th

COMEDY SHOWHOUSE – the world’s 1st ever radio comedy festival – was staged in February 2016 and featured a live recording of the hit panel show Don’t Quote Me! starring a host of Irish comedy greats. 

 The 6 part comedy panel series now will be broadcast on RTE Radio 1 starting Saturday August 27th at 6pm as part of a special COMEDY SHOWHOUSE HOUR. 6 other shows with The Nualas, Foil Arms & Hog, Deirdre O’Kane, Gearóid Farrelly, Maxine Jones and Aindrias de Staic will follow at 6.30pm

DQM is hosted by multi award-winning comedian Sean Hughes – for more than 10 years a team captain of BBC’s long running smash hit music panel series Never Mind The Buzzcocks. Joining Sean is renowned stand up Andrew Maxwell (The King Of Comedy – Ch4); acclaimed writer and broadcaster Fiona Looney and The Limerick born stand up star / writer Karl Spain.

Expect a free wheeling masterclass in live banter  as the best minds in the country compete against other to guess, debate and discuss classic quotes from the world of celebrity, sport, entertainment, history, politics and broadcasting.

It’s one of the freshest  comedy panel shows around and it was all recorded live in The Space Upstairs in The Project Arts Centre in Dublin’s Temple Bar.
